What is the InfinityGreece volunteer community?

The InfinityGreece youth community is a place made for young people who wish to develop skills and evolve, while at the same time contributing to society through volunteer activities.

Participating young volunteers develop skills for the job market, become creative, generate ideas and learn to implement them.

With your voluntary contribution, we co-create projects with social impact that help achieve the mission and vision of InfinityGreece.

The team, beyond skills, gave me countless beautiful moments. I started as a writer looking for something creative to fill my free time, and soon I was given the opportunity to develop my ideas and to test myself in human resources management. Three years later, I am glad I dared.

Upon graduating from high school, I knew I was looking for a team to shape my character and gain experiences. I am very happy that I met InfinityGreece then and was able to discover the magic of radio and article writing, hobbies that I still maintain today and which have become an integral part of my identity

When I joined InfinityGreece, I spoke quickly and mumbled my words. Being on the radio team, I managed to overcome the problem and improve my speech. I learned to collaborate with people who are completely different from me and to better manage the crises that arise

My experience at InfinityGreece can hardly be described in just a few sentences. Nevertheless, it gave me the opportunity to be part of a safe environment, where I can express myself freely without fear and inhibition, develop friendships, grow personally, and gain professional experience under realistic conditions. Thank you for having such a model organization in our city!

InfinityGreece changed my world, gave me love and friendships, and I consider it important because it provides the sense of belonging we all seek in our 20s. Just as I trusted them to become a team, they trusted me to implement projects, to give and receive knowledge specifically in the field of marketing, and ultimately to emerge with leadership skills, more knowledge in my team's field, crisis management, and how to delegate tasks to others! It may seem like a volunteer group to those on the outside, but for me, it has become family!

Why should I become a volunteer?

Through volunteering, you offer social work, strengthening the community around you, while at the same time discovering new skills and creating strong bonds with young people like you.

A volunteer's journey at InfinityGreece

Here you will find the stages a volunteer goes through as a member of our community.

Volunteer Application

The candidate volunteer submits their application and it is received by the HR team

Interview

A trained member of the interview team contacts the candidate volunteer and they arrange a day for the interview to take place

Welcoming

Having completed the selection process for new members, the organization welcomes them to their teams. After registering, the volunteer gains access to the Members platform, which serves as a guide for the year. Additionally, they gain access to Academe, a platform supported by the Youth team and consisting of a collection of courses available 24/7 for volunteers

Training

With the formation of the teams, the initiation of necessary trainings begins, which include Universal trainings, trainings common to the entire organization, and Team trainings, which are tailored to one or two teams depending on the subject

Starter

With the conclusion of the trainings, the flow of the semester begins with the teams' meetings. The member is at the starter level, during which they undertake smaller projects to develop their skills and gain experience

Experience

Having met the requirements to advance from starter to experienced, the member progresses, now possessing the skills and experience to support larger projects. Simultaneously, the experienced member contributes their knowledge and experience to other newcomers, having a direct social impact

The actions or events that are organized allow InfinityGreece members to do their bit in creating a better society and contribute to activating and raising awareness among the public on important issues.

After basic training, new members of InfinityGreece undertake projects in the subject they are interested in (blogging, web, radio, management, etc.), showcasing their talents and gaining experience. Through their participation in the team, they help others develop and more broadly upgrade the skills of young people in Thessaloniki through educational activities.

How can I become a volunteer at InfinityGreece?

All you need to do is fill out the new volunteer application form that you will find here! Our team will then contact you.

When do volunteer applications open?

Our applications open every September and January. You will find the application here and of course you can subscribe to our newsletter so you don't miss any news!

Do I need to have knowledge?

No! All you need to have is the motivation to learn and in turn ofeer to other young people and to the society of Thessaloniki.

How many hours should I dedicate?

The amount of time a volunteer needs to dedicate depends on the groups they want to participate in, as well as the type of responsibilities they take on. Volunteering is an experience that requires your active participation and is entirely up to you!

What else do I need to know?

Membership costs €25 per year to support facilities, equipment and administrative costs.It includes training and consulting, use of space and equipment as well as networking with active young people and professionals in the city. In addition, free participation in educational programs such as the “Ideas Lab” is included.
