This year’s edition of the European Startup Universe Greece program is completed, with Greece participating along with 7 countries – Romania, Cyprus, Croatia, Cyprus, Hungary, Luxembourg, Slovenia and Spain. In total 1500+ Founders, 600+ Startups, 93 Speakers, 142 Experts participated in ESU, while 48 Workshops were completed and 45 Office Hours were completed. Regarding Founders, it is worth noting that Greece had the most registrations from startups and startup founders compared to other countries.
In more detail, ESU Greece was attended by 457 founders, 220 startups, 45 experts, 12 speakers, 4 strategic partners, 23 community partners, 5 media partners, while the workshops and office hours both numbered 12. This year the emphasis was on the female entrepreneurship part, having 7 female speakers out of 12, 25 female experts out of 45 and with 36% female Founders participation, surpassing the 24% of the Greek Startup Universe event (the same program implemented only for Greece in 2021).
Through ESU, the participating startups had the opportunity to take part in a series of activities such as Office hours, Workshops, 1on1 Meetings with experts, Community-Forum communication, educational material, various offers, perks or free services and startup tools. In addition, out of the 220 startups that participated in the Greek event, 20 or more of them are going to meet Angel Investors in May, a number that corresponds to 21.1% of the total of the 8 participating countries.

The Closing Conference will take place online on 6 May 2022, 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. and will include the presentation of the results and impact of the ESU programs’, a panel discussion on the EU Technology Ecosystem, ESU programs’ founders pitching their startup and a massive Networking Event, via the Airmeet platform, to e-meet and interact with each other.
